  • Accountant

    We are looking for an Accountant to join our team.

    This role involves the preparation of financial statements, accounting ledgers and client records with a focus on excellence in client service.

    You will be required to prepare client ITIS, Social Security and GST returns, deal with correspondence, collate information and liaise with clients to ensure that the accounts and tax computations are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.

    You will also be involved in assisting with the development and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures and ensure adherence to best practice principles. It is important that you maintain an appropriate understanding of all laws, regulations relevant to the company and its clients. You will also be required to assist in the training of the trainee accountants.

    The ideal candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification, be part qualified or qualified by experience. You should have a good understanding of accounting principles and local tax legislation, as well as good presentation skills and a methodical and measured attitude. It is also crucial for you to have good working knowledge of IT platforms and applications, with experience of Xero desirable.

  • Senior Accountant

    This role requires you to prepare clients’ financial statements, ITIS, Social Security and GST returns and oversee the maintenance of all accounts documentation and files. You will deal with correspondence, collate information and liaise with clients to ensure that the accounts and tax computations are prepared in a timely and efficient manner, with a focus on excellence in client service.

    You will be required to have oversight of the bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements completed by more junior team members, as well as assisting in their development and training. You will prepare and review the more complex clients held in the team portfolio.

    You will be involved in the development and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures and ensure adherence to best practice principles. It is important that you maintain an appropriate understanding of all laws, regulations relevant to the company and its clients.

    The ideal candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification or be qualified by experience, have a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and local tax rules, as well as possessing good presentation skills, and a methodical and measured approach. A good working knowledge of IT platforms and applications is essential, as is a working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or Caseware.

    Roles involve assisting with the delivery of our Company Secretarial offering, providing a quality, professional and efficient company secretarial service, including company formations / dissolutions, obtaining due diligence information, liaising with board members and stakeholders, dealing with JFSC and other Government departments, setting up minute books and providing general Company Secretarial services.

    The ideal candidates will be working towards/already hold a relevant table 4 qualification, or be willing to study. A strong technical Company Secretarial background is an advantage, though this role would suit someone from a trust or legal background with experience of property transactions. Knowledge of the local regulatory framework and Company Law are essential.

  • Accounts Assistant Trainee

    This role involves assisting the accounts team in a variety of tasks, including the preparation of financial statements, completing bookkeeping, accounts preparation and delivery of client records. You will also assist the preparation of clients ITIS, Social Security and GST returns, review & report on issues as appropriate, liaise with shareholders, directors and other external parties as required.

    With a diverse client base you will undertake assignments across a multitude of predominantly locally based businesses, to include: legal and professional, construction, retail, property holding, investment, tourism and farming.

    The right candidate will be working towards or willing to undertake studies towards a relevant professional qualification. Good communication skills and a good working knowledge of IT platforms and applications are also crucial to the role.
